Our boat: Amakáik
The name Amakáik comes from the Aónikenk language (also known as the Tehuelches), an ancient nomadic people of Patagonia. Its meaning—”it has life and fire”—reflects the spirit of this vessel and its crew.
Designed to offer comfort, safety, and connection to the environment, Amakáik is a fast, 10-meter-long vessel made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and equipped with two 200-hp engines.
Onboard Features:
- 14 comfortable seats
- Interior heating
- Onboard electricity to charge cell phones and cameras
- WiFi available inside
- Kitchen and bathroom
- Two decks: upper and lower, ideal for enjoying the scenery from different angles
We comply with all safety regulations required by the Chilean Navy, and we sail with a team of local, certified, bilingual guides with extensive experience in the area.
Amakáik not only takes you to Laguna San Rafael:
It connects you with the depth, beauty, and living energy of Patagonia.
